About

I'm a divorced former homemaker whose life still hasn't recovered from supporting a man's career like society expects, though the marriage ended around two decades ago. Among other things, I write critiques of heternormative culture while wondering what would work better.

One of those criticisms is the global norm of an excess of single family detached homes designed for a breadwinner father, homemaker mother and 2.5 minor children with a dearth of adequate housing for any other lifestyle, resulting in rising homelessness and "alternate" housing that is all too often defacto poverty housing because it's not what the planet REALLY plans for.

It's frequently a hack solution by desperate people failing to make their lives really work because this world isn't designed for them.

It's far from adequate to explain what's currently not working. The best way to foster real solutions is to talk about good examples and best practices.

This is my sandbox for trying to do that.
